This course gives youth ages 11 to 15 years old the knowledge and confidence to care for infants and school-age children. Combining video, activities, hands-on skills training and discussion for a complete learning experience, Babysitter’s Training teaches youth how to:
*Respond to emergencies and illness with first aid, rescue breathing, and other appropriate care
*Make decisions under pressure
*Communicate with parents and learn household rules
*Recognize safety and hygiene issues
*Manage young children
*Feed, diaper, and care for infants
* Start their babysitting business
What do vibrations look like in slow motion? How do animals use sound to survive? What do sounds tell us about the health of our planet? Join the Science Center of Iowa to meet a team of soundscape ecologists and hear the Earth in a whole new way! All ages.
Bring your family and join us to listen to stories, sing songs, and make a craft. For all ages. No registration required.
Bring your baby and sing songs, play games, and socialize with other babies and their caregivers. Recommended for birth through 18 months. No registration required.
