Upper elementary and middle school readers are encouraged to join us as we discuss this year’s All Iowa Kids Read book, Ghost by Jason Reynolds. Copies will be available behind the desk.
Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy dog! Students in 1st through 5th grade may sign up for a 20 minute time slot to read to a therapy dog partner. Please call the library to register for an available time!

Can you escape from the library?
You and your team will have a limited amount of time to solve a series of riddles, decipher the clues and find the key to escape! Do you have the brainpower and teamwork skills needed to win? Solve all the clues to find your prize!
Pizza and drinks will be provided. Ages 10+.
Early Out Adventures are for school aged kids during early dismissals. Ever wonder how bees make honey? Educators from Teachers Going Green will lead us in a game that shows how pollination works and the importance of flowers in a bee’s habitat.
- To better fit our Patrons’ busy schedules, Special Access browsing has moved to 6pm on the second Friday of each month. We will stay open until 7pm to offer an hour of quiet(er) browsing. Anyone with a special need, as well as parents and/or caregivers, is welcome to attend.

It’s Money Smart Week! Practice your money math and paint your own take-home cardboard bank. All ages.
