Yoga For You – Coming Soon
After six fantastic months of the Hook Nook, the Library is changing things up for adults on Tuesday nights this spring and summer. Our crochet class was a resounding success, and it will be back starting in October. Taking its place is Yoga For You – a once a month yoga class provided to us by the instructors at Studio B Yoga.
The Library is excited to partner with the instructors from Studio B Yoga to offer these classes free of charge. Once a month, from April through September, an instructor will lead a yoga class for the public right here at the Library.
Studio B prides itself on leading classes for all levels of yoga participants – from never-tried-yoga-before to been-loving-it-for-years. Studio B instructors are well trained and prepared to help every student through class at each student’s individual level.
“Yoga is more than just the positions,” says Studio B owner, Bradie Weeter. She goes on to say there are several components to yoga, and it is for more than just the “young and super fit.” Recently, Bradie herself led a class whose participants ranged in age from early thirties to mid eighties.
During yoga, you can expect to learn different breathing techniques, different poses and many other components to improve upon balance, flexibility and endurance.
Yoga For You will be held the second Tuesday evening of each month from 5:30 to 6:30pm, starting in April. These yoga classes will be held in the meeting room at the Library. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or a towel and wear comfortable clothing. Check out our Calendar of Events for specific dates.
These classes are intended for community members aged 16 and up. The Library encourages you to stop in for one or more of the classes to learn a little about yoga and how the advantages may benefit you and your health.
